I’m not keen on talking myself up. It’s a Northern thing.
Historically I’ve had the policy of let the work do the talking. This doesn’t fly anymore.
If I had to talk about myself, I would say I’ve creatively led some of the UK’s best known brands over the last 20 years, and created some brand defining work along the way.
Prior to electing to freelance in 2021, I spent my agency life at Leo Burnett, Adam & Eve DDB, The Red Brick Road, and BMP DDB.
Strategic positioning, the discipline of an advertising idea, and absolute executional rigour define me.
Don’t be scared to get it wrong to get it right. (infact, don’t be scared. Enjoy it. We’re lucky).
Imbue confidence in everyone, especially your clients. Confident work stands out a mile.
Enjoy it, it reflects in your work. And the punter will enjoy the fact you enjoyed it.
Draw on your experience, your instincts and your muscle memory to find the way.
With experience comes the value of relationships.
Sweep your agency up in the desire to keep making to make great work. And work that works.
Then there’s that other big relationship.
The Client Relationship.
Sweep your clients up in the desire to keep making to make great work. And work that works.
None of the work you see here could have happened without my ability to forge trusting friendships with clients and guide account teams and creative teams to better things.
So if I had to talk about myself, I think that’s about it.
Enjoy taking a look at my work.
